One time deputy governor of Osun State and a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Iyiola Omisore Ph.d, FNSE CON, has reiterated his commitment to helping the less privileged in the Nigerian society especially his home state, Osun.
He stated this recently at this year’s edition of the KICC’s Widows Outreach and Empowerment Program which has been sponsored for the past 12 years by Pastor Mathew Ashimolowo. The event was held on January 5, 2018 at KICC’s Kings University Grounds in Ode Omu, Ile Ife, Ashimolowo’s home town in Osun State.
Senator Omisore was the guest of honour alongside other top men of God among who were Prophet S.K. Abiara, Bishop Taiwo Adelakun, Pastor Yemisi Ashimolowo and many other guests from the KICC Church in the United Kingdom.
The event had widows from the community and neighbouring towns thronged the venue to receive packages that would bring relief to them and their children. During presentation of gift packages to the widows, Omisore and other guests joined the host Pastor to provide transport fare aside other items. Both financial and material gifts shared to the widows were provided by the host.
The erudite businessman engineer sprang to recognition and prominence with his people as a result of his philanthropic activities over two decades ago. At the last count he has personally funded or facilitated the funding of over two hundred and fifty (250) projects widely spread all over his home state of Osun and in other states in Nigeria.
