Popular blogger and publisher, Abubakar Sidiq Usman, has revealed that he broke down in tears after he lost out in the race to become the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Publicity Secretary during the party’s convention this weekend.
Usman finished second in the poll behind incumbent Bolaji Abdullahi, who retained the position.
“Can’t stop the tears from rolling. Many didn’t believe it was possible, but here I am.
“No money, no god father, no structure, no backing from even where I needed it most, but I still came second.
“I say a big thank you to all those that believed in me. God will surely pay you back,” he tweeted on Sunday.
Former Edo Governor, Adams Oshiomhole, emerged as APC’s new National Chairman, while Niyi Adebayo is the Deputy National Chairman (South).
