Former Manchester United manager, David Moyes, has said Jose Mourinho will be given time to turn things around at the club.
The Scot was sacked by United just nine months after succeeding Sir Alex Fergusond, but is confident the board will be patient with Mourinho.
Mourinho earned a stay of execution when United came back from 2-0 down to beat Newcastle 3-2 and Moyes says that could be a turning point.
“The big thing is that Jose has got himself a fantastic result at the weekend.
“It doesn’t matter how you win, but he did it in good style, beating Newcastle.
“I think that could settle things down a little bit. It takes time for all managers at Manchester United .
“Jose has been given time and I’m sure given more time. He’s a winner and I’m sure he will go on to prove that,” he said according to the UK Mirror.
