Nigeria vs Croatia: Amokachi reacts to Super Eagles’ 2-0 defeat at World Cup 2018

Former Nigeria’s skipper, Daniel Amokachi, has reacted to Super Eagles’ 2 – 0 defeat to Croatia on Saturday at the ongoing FIFA World Cup in Russia.

Oghenekaro Etebo’s own goal and a Luka Modric penalty, ensured that Gernot Rohr’s men began the tournament on a bad note.

Reacting, Amokachi urged the Super Eagles to be cool ahead of their next game against Iceland.

He tweeted: “I know guys that the game wasn’t what we expected.

“Yes, we were poor in so many areas on the day but let’s try and be cool and hope the technical bench has taken notes of the flows.

“Remember in 2010 Spain lost in their opener against Switzerland and ended up being world champions.”
