World Cup 2018: Iran vs Spain: Team news, injuries, possible lineups

Iran will tonight take on Spain at the Kazan Arena Stadium in their second Group B match of the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

The Carlos Queiroz’s men will be hoping to beat the Fernando Hierro’s men so as to top the group after beating Morocco 1-0 on Friday.

Quieroz is unlikely to change his starting XI that played against Morocco and that could see winger, Saman Ghoddos kept in reserve.

Captain Masoud Shojaei should keep his place in the starting lineup, despite being withdrawn during the second half against Iran.

Quieroz has no new injury problems in his squad ahead of this clash.

Meanwhile, Spain head into this clash after playing a 3-3 draw against Portugal last week Friday.

The La Rojo and the Asian side have never met before in a competitive game.

Defender, Dani Carvajal may come back into the team at right-back after missing their first game against Portugal due to injury, while Saul Niguez may replace Koke in midfield.

However, earlier today, Real Madrid star, Cristiano Ronaldo led Portugal to beat Morocco 1-0 to top Group B.

Iran potential starting XI: Beiranvand; Hajisafi, Cheshmi, Pouraliganji, Rezaeian; Shojaei, Ebrahimi; Amiri, Ansarifard, Jahanbaksh; Azmoun

Spain potential starting XI: De Gea; Carvajal, Pique, Ramos, Alba; Busquets, Koke; Iniesta, Silva, Isco; Costa

The kick off time for the match is 7:00pm.
